Nigel Peake works from an attic on a quiet road in the middle of nowhere.
In-between the out turned pockets, spirals of paper and coffee cups on his desks he draws and makes things. After graduating from Architecture with a RIBA Silver award commendation, he has drawn projects for clients including Ninja Tunes, Habitat and the RHS. His work has been exhibited in many corners of the world including Edinburgh, Shanghai, New York, Antwerp and London. In the past few years his drawings have been collected in Sheds, Maps and Ghost Houses – in addition to self-published pamphlets.
The exhibition is on from 10th September – 3rd October 2009

Marc has lived and worked in Cornwall for the past seven years.
His work is motivated by his love of collecting discarded objects, whether they’ve been washed up on a beach, found on a kerbside, or bought in charity shops.
This body of work explores the themes of narrative and history in found or unwanted objects.
“I am fascinated by the unknown background of the things that I find, the travels that they’ve been on, the people who have owned them, the secrets that they hold. By subverting them, I add a surreal layer to their existence and through this, hope the viewer will consider the hidden contact held within them.”
Come along to the Here and Now Gallery on 31st of July from 5pm to 7pm to see what Marc has created.
The exhibition will run from 1st-31st August

COVER IT UP!
An exhibition of book covers, designed and created by Bristol illustrator Dave Bain. Selecting absolute classics and some downright good reads, Dave Bain has put pen to paper, brush to paint and pencil behind ear to produce a rather ripping collection of book covers. This very personal interpretation of well-known stories is sure to bring delight and surprise in this rare solo show.
All artwork is for sale.
Dave Bain graduated from Falmouth College of Arts with a BA degree in Illustration (2006) and currently resides in Bristol. He works in a number of ways, from a naive painting style to mixed media techniques. His work is highly commended by the Macmillan Children’s Prize and as well as being selected for various illustration annuals, his pictures are also used as examples in the book, ‘Illustration – A Theoretical & Contextual Perspective’ written by Alan Male (AVA Academia – 2007). Clients he has illustrated for include Nokia, the NSPCC, Shirted Ape, Advice To Sink In Slowly and Harcourt Press.

Our latest exhibition is a collaboration between Robin Boyden, Will Grant and Sarah Brown who have all recently graduated from the Falmouth University Illustraton Course.
Robin achieved First Class Honours in 2007 and now works as an illustrator based in the UK. He is currently represented by Advocate Illustration agency in London and has worked for clients including the NHS, VCN Group and the Guardian.
Sarah has recieved Highly Commended by the MacMillian Prize for Children’s illustration. She loves to draw interesting and unusual characters, in delightful and magical settings giving animals and humans distinctive and expressive personalities with a touch of humour.
Will loves illustration, the visual arts generally and often get overenthusiastic on the subject. “I believe art is best used and best enjoyed complimenting and commenting on other facets of life, and my favourite artists tend to be naive, or those with more than one passion in their lives. As such, I am going to sea to work as a ship’s officer, and hope (possibly while being held captive by pirates) that I will be inspired by the exciting things I see. I have a BA(Hons) in Illustration from Falmouth and bl**dy miss Cornwall”
The exhibition will run from the 1st-31st December with a variety of affordable work all available to purchase and take home in time for Christmas..
